Idea

Is it a bad idea for the first book you write to be the start of a series?
I would like to start Writing books but all the ideas I have are series’s and I wondered if it is a bad idea to start writing books with a series?
Thanks!
It isn’t a bad idea as long as your end goal isn’t to get the series published. By writing a series, you’ll improve greatly with each book you write as your experience, Skills and knowledge grow, but the first few won’t be brilliant, certainly not to a publishable standard. Therefore, if you look at your first series as a practise run or as something fun, like a hobby, then that’s a good way to start writing.
A series takes a lot of planning and dedication if you want it all to be well written and coherent, so that’s why a lot of beginners (and seasoned writers) avoid writing a series, but if you look upon it as a Learning experience then it should help to hone your writing skills and further your planning abilities.
Well, I hope this has helped you! Good luck with your writing
